LEGAL & PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
How we use your contact details and project information, where they are handled, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
When you contact Minglong Energy, we use the information you provide to review and respond to your project. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to advertising emails. This policy explains our website inquiry process; a separate agreement may apply if we begin a project together.
01
Who We Are
Huzhou Minglong New Energy Co., Ltd. operates this website under the Minglong Energy name and is responsible for the personal information described here.
Address: Room 1104-12, Building A, Zhongnan Building, Longxi Subdistrict, Huzhou South Taihu Lake New Area, Huzhou, Zhejiang, China.
Privacy contact: psy@minglongenergy.com.
This policy applies to the new Minglong Energy website on which it is displayed, including its temporary preview address. When this new website moves to minglongenergy.com, it will apply there. It does not describe the separate technology used by the existing website before migration.
02
Information We Collect
We collect the information you submit through our project form, email or linked business contact channels. It may include:
- Business contact details: your name, company, work email and optional telephone or WhatsApp details.
- Project requirements: the application, target market, estimated annual volume, project description, stage, timeline and optional technical specifications.
- Files you choose to send: specifications, drawings and photographs of a product, battery, connector or device, including any personal information contained in those files.
- Website and security information: IP address, request time, browser or device information, form verification information and records used to investigate errors or abuse.
Fields marked as required are needed to submit the online form and help us assess and answer the inquiry. Optional fields and files can be left blank. You can also contact us by email. Providing this information is voluntary; missing relevant details may limit the assessment we can make.
Our website is intended for business contacts and project representatives. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information or sensitive personal data, and share only material you are authorised to provide.
03
Why We Use Information
We use contact and project information to understand requirements, assess potential cooperation, answer questions and discuss proposals, samples or quotations. We also keep inquiry records, protect the website and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our basis for responding to a representative of a business is generally our legitimate interest in communicating with prospective customers and assessing business projects. Where you are personally a prospective contracting party, we may process necessary information to take steps at your request before a contract. Website security and prevention of abuse also serve our legitimate interests. Processing required by law relies on the relevant legal obligation.
If we request consent for a separate optional purpose, we explain that purpose at the time. A form acknowledgement that you have read this policy is not permission for unrelated marketing.
We do not use inquiry information for decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
04
How Your Inquiry Is Handled
- Restricted website record: form fields and attachment names are saved in our private website administration area so that an inquiry can be reviewed and its email delivery status checked.
- Company email: a copy of the inquiry and any uploaded files is sent to psy@minglongenergy.com for review and follow-up.
- Temporary uploads: in the normal submission flow, uploaded file contents are removed from the website temporary storage after the email sending attempt. The inquiry record retains attachment names rather than a permanent copy of the uploaded files.
Removing a temporary website file does not remove its copy from the company mailbox or a service-provider backup. Access to inquiry records and the mailbox is intended for authorised people who need the information for the purposes described in this policy.
05
Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell or rent your inquiry information or supply it to advertisers. Under our current website inquiry process, we do not send customer forms or technical files to external factories, laboratories, logistics companies or other business partners.
Technical providers necessarily process information to supply hosting, email delivery, storage, security and backup services. Our current services include Hostinger for website hosting and BossMail for company email. External font and icon delivery is described in our Cookie Policy. The information each provider receives depends on its role.
If a later project requires sharing technical files with another party, we will discuss that need with you first and address the relevant confidentiality and data protection arrangements. Submitting a website inquiry does not authorise unrestricted onward sharing of your files.
Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or where necessary and permitted by law to establish, exercise or defend legal rights or protect website security.
06
Where Information Is Handled
Minglong Energy is based in China. When you send an inquiry from another country, including the United Kingdom or an EU country, your information is transmitted to and reviewed in China. Hosting, email and other technical providers may process information in the countries where they operate their services.
Data protection requirements depend on the parties and the particular data flow. If you need information about processing locations or an applicable transfer arrangement before sharing material, contact psy@minglongenergy.com. Merely submitting the form or acknowledging this policy does not waive your privacy rights or replace any legally required transfer safeguards.
07
How Long We Keep Information
Our retention policy distinguishes an initial inquiry from an ongoing project:
- Ordinary project inquiries: normally up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact.
- Spam, test or clearly invalid inquiries: deletion within 90 days after they are identified.
- Ongoing projects and business records: relevant information may be kept for the project and the applicable contractual, accounting, quality, after-sales or legal period. The period depends on the record and the obligation involved.
These rules cover both website inquiry records and mailbox copies. Routine backups may retain deleted information until they expire or are overwritten under the provider’s backup cycle. Deleting a live record is not a promise that every backup copy disappears immediately.
You can contact us about an inquiry you want reviewed or deleted. We will explain if an ongoing project, a legal obligation or a legal claim requires us to retain particular information.
08
Security and Technical Files
Our website uses HTTPS, restricted access to inquiry administration, form verification, spam controls and upload type and size limits. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Please send only the information needed for an initial assessment. If a project requires trade secrets, a complete design package or another particularly sensitive document, contact us first to agree a suitable sharing method and any confidentiality agreement. Sending a file does not transfer ownership of your intellectual property to Minglong Energy.
09
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. The availability of each right depends on the processing and its legal basis.
Right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing on grounds relating to your situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise a right, email psy@minglongenergy.com and identify the inquiry or information concerned. We may ask for proportionate identity verification, and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may complain to your local data protection authority. UK individuals can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. EU individuals can contact the authority in the country where they live or work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
10
Cookies and External Services
The new website currently uses technical resources for page display and operation. It has not been configured with Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, LinkedIn Insight Tag or Meta Pixel. Our current project inquiry form does not create a newsletter subscription.
Our Cookie Policy explains the technical storage identified on the new website, external font and icon requests, and how to control browser storage. If we introduce tools that require consent, we will provide the relevant information and controls before using those tools.
Links to WhatsApp or other external sites open services operated by those providers. They apply their own privacy practices when you use their services. Please review their notices before sending information.
11
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website, inquiry process, providers or legal obligations change. The update date appears at the top of this page. Where a change requires a separate notice or renewed consent, we will provide it as applicable. An update does not remove rights or commitments that already apply.
